Famous Writer: J.D. SALINGER.



  • Birth: 1st January 1919 in Manhattan New York U.S.A.
  • Death: 27th January 2010 in Cornish, New Hampshire; he die at the age of: 91 years old.
  • Student no so smart.
  • When he was a teenager he began to write stories.
  • After he tried to enter to many university including Columbia, Ursinus and New York.
  • He was in a part of The Second World War, he become a sargeant and take part in the Normandi landings.
  • He began writing in literary in the year 1940 with publications in severals magazines editorials of his country of storys and plays.
The Best Known Work Is: THE CATCHER in the RYE that was public in the year: 1951, while he were a fighter he write that work.
The Catcher in the Rye is a novel cynical of tone critizing the hypocritical world of the adults from the perspective of a sarcastic teenager that contains a larger dose of irony, the teenager name is: Holden Caulfield.
The work won a spectacular succes and was quikly translated into several languages.
